Safety Tips:

  1. Tell children never go near a stranger, always stay 10 -15 'steps' away. This will allow them to get a head start if someone does try to grab them.
  2. If your child is grabbed, tell them to yell "This is not my Mom / Dad" while kicking and flailing their arms.
  3. If your child is carrying any objects such as books or bags, tell them not to worry about holding on to them. As a matter of fact they can use them to draw attention by throwing them up in the air so people will see.
  4. Tell your child never to never go anywhere alone with anyone. They should always ask permisson from a parent or teacher.
  5. If they are approached by someone, to try and remember what they looked like and what they were wearing. If they were in a car, to try to look at the license plate. But most of all to get away and tell a parent or teacher what happened.
