Safety Tips:
- Tell children never go near a stranger, always stay 10 -15 'steps' away. This will allow them to get a head start if someone does try to grab them.
- If your child is grabbed, tell them to yell "This is not my Mom / Dad" while kicking and flailing their arms.
- If your child is carrying any objects such as books or bags, tell them not to worry about holding on to them. As a matter of fact they can use them to draw attention by throwing them up in the air so people will see.
- Tell your child never to never go anywhere alone with anyone. They should always ask permisson from a parent or teacher.
- If they are approached by someone, to try and remember what they looked like and what they were wearing. If they were in a car, to try to look at the license plate. But most of all to get away and tell a parent or teacher what happened.
